Established in 2006, our reputation is built on the creative and practical abilities of our engineers. All our work comes from repeat business and recommendations.

Our expertise spans project management, factory design, production optimisation, robotics and automation, process development, continuous improvement and CDM site management.

We can also assist with project development and provide inputs to CapEx proposals.

Based on the Hertfordshire/Buckinghamshire borders, we deliver projects anywhere in the UK.

A chartered engineer with 25 years' experience in consumer packaged goods manufacturing, Jon is an experienced multi-disciplined engineer and expert in factory lay-out and automation. Jon has managed projects for blue-chips such as Mars, GSK and Burton's Biscuits. Jon is a Prince2™ practitioner.

Gary ButtonGary Button, Electrical & Controls Engineer


Formerly a lecturer in electrical and control system engineering, Gary is a chartered engineer with 30 years' manufacturing experience and exceptional electrical and control engineering skills. He is used to delivering complex IT and electrical and control engineering projects in highly regulated food and pharma environments. Most recently, he has been defining and implementing electrical, control and energy saving strategies for a major name in the food industry. Gary is a Prince2™ practitioner.

Paul DaviesPaul Davies, Automation Engineer


Paul is an experienced hands-on mechanical engineer with an exemplary record of achievement gained over 25 years with blue-chip companies. Working closely with production and maintenance teams, Paul has improved line efficiencies and reduced costs.

Simon DickinsonSimon Dickinson, Technical Director


With a Masters in Engineering from Leeds University and 10 years' experience in the food, biscuit, confectionery, consumer healthcare and pharmaceutical industries, Simon is responsible for technical innovation, technical standards and delivery of complex technical projects.

Simon's areas of expertise include investigating and justifying the need for investment; evaluating, selecting and developing technologies; developing and leading large, complex projects; supporting new product development and leading new process development. Simon is a Prince2™ practitioner and NEBOSH qualified to level 3 in Occupational Health & Safety.

David EyreDavid Eyre, Project Manager


David is an HND qualified engineer with 20 years' experience in the design of production lines for consumer packaged goods. With a background in confectionery and healthcare products, David is a senior project manager currently managing major projects for blue-chip clients such as GSK. He was formerly a project manager with Mars Confectionery.

Mark WilfordMark Wilford, Project Engineer


Mark, who graduated in 2014 with a First from the University of Hull, joined the JPH team in September 2014 as a Project Engineer on our Graduate Development Programme. Mark is returning to us, having first worked with JPH in the summer of 2013 as a student engineer.

Brian GraceBrian Grace, Health & Safety Manager


Brian is an Electrical and Electronics Engineer with 25 years' experience in GMP environments, both food and pharma. As Health & Safety Manager, Brian has H&S oversight of all JPH engineering projects. His qualifications include the NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety; training in the regulations surrounding Construction Design and Management (CDM) through the Association for Project Safety (APS) and associate membership of both APS and the Institution of Occupational Safety & Health (IOSH). Brian is qualified to take on the CDM Commissioning Co-ordinator (CDM-C) role for large installation, utility and infrastructure projects. Brian is a Prince2™ practitioner.

Margaret has worked as a communications consultant in the packaging, manufacturing and technology sectors.

A production engineer who specialises in every aspect of Industrial Engineering, Vernon has used his expertise in performance measurement and analysis to drive operational excellence for companies such as Mars, Northern Foods and Burton's Biscuits. His specialist skills cover the development of new production performance plans and targets, root-cause analysis and bottleneck analysis.

Clive LipscombClive Lipscomb, Process & Utilities Engineer


Clive is HND qualified in Design and Technology with 32 years' experience working for Mars Confectionery, where he was the company's expert in moulding and chocolate processing. Clive is the central point of reference for innovative technological process design. He has developed processes ranging from ready-meals to toothpaste manufacture.

Jim TameJim Tame, Chemical Engineer


A chartered Chemical Engineer with operations management experience, Jim's outstanding talent is his ability to involve and engage client teams in transformational engineering projects. Jim has broad experience in the food and pharmaceutical industry. He has delivered successful capital and continuous improvement projects at Kellogg's, GlaxoSmithKline and Akzo Nobel.

Denis TwardawaDenis Twardawa, Process Engineer


Denis is a senior process and mechanical engineer with 30 years' experience working for Mars. NEBOSH qualified, Denis' key experience is in reliability-centred maintenance, predictive maintenance techniques, extrusion technology, microwave ovens and chocolate processing. Denis is currently managing projects for GSK.

Thomas WrightThomas Wright, Project Manager



Tom is an adaptable and innovative graduate mechanical engineer with 6 years' experience of engineering in food and pharma production environments. Tom's approach to Continuous Improvement is informed by his previous role as a shift engineering and maintenance manager. Tom, who is a Prince2™ practitioner, is currently acting as project manager on a range of automation projects.
